Dynamic Opportunity ~ As a full-time employee, working 37.5 hour per week, an Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the coordination of accounts payable. Responsible for processing requisitions and making purchases according to agency policy. Prepares requisitions, checks and files vendor invoices. Answers the phone as needed. The Guidance Center ~ is a primary mental health support agency, providing compassionate, professional care for individuals and families with mental health needs in the greater Cumberland County, NJ area. For more than 60 years, our non-profit organization of professionals, doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, has assisted the community in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of mental illness. What does this position look like ~ The Accounts Payable Specialist, manages the accounts payable process, including review of invoices and posting to general ledger accounts. Prepares check disbursements for approval and payment. Analyzes general ledger accounts as needed. Posts cash and ACH receipts to daily accounts receivable journal. Prepares, totals and proves cash receipts and spread sheets. Assists the Accountant in the monthly closing process. Maintains confidential information in accordance with agency's policies. Responsible for the purchases for the agency, procurement, purchase, and distribution. What you need to apply ~ High School diploma or equivalent Accounts Payable experience including check writing and budget management Accounts Receivable experience preferred Knowledge of and experience with accounting software.
