Grainger Corporate Services LLC is seeking a Data Engineer in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements): Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Architect and implement cloud data lake solutions, resolving discrepancies collaboratively and providing ongoing support to cross:functional teams; Design and implement secure, performant data models to meet scalability and performance needs; Develop data pipelines to ingest, cleanse and enrich data for analytics using distributed frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive etc.; Enable data discovery and curation for analytical purpose by collaborating with data scientists and provide data integration solutions; Create analytical reports to support all stake holders by building data products; Collaborate with stakeholders including team and product managers to create secure and efficient data products; Collaborate with architects and stake holders to design data lakes and create data products; Ensure that data processing pipelines and ETL jobs are designed for scalability, making use of distributed technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive to handle increasing data volumes efficiently. 100 remote work allowed.
