Practice Area: Insurance Coverage, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm seeks a Coverage Attorney for their San Francisco, CA office. The Coverage Attorney will investigate, research, and prepare reports and analysis on complex matters involving professional liability claims, including claims against construction and design firms. They will analyze complex insurance contracts and policy forms, apply policy contract terms to various claim scenarios, remain current on legislative trends and court decisions, provide timely updates and recommendations, produce comprehensive written opinions, work with claims management to provide expert legal advice, deliver high-quality work product, and perform other duties as assigned. Duties:Investigate, research, and prepare reports on professional liability claimsAnalyze complex insurance contracts and policy formsApply policy contract terms to claim scenariosRemain current on legislative trends and court decisionsProduce comprehensive written opinions and recommendationsWork with claims management to provide legal adviceDeliver high-quality work product within defined service level agreementsPerform other assigned duties Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCalifornia state licensed attorney in good standing3+ years of legal experienceExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and research skillsStrong work ethic and ability to work independentlyExperience interpreting insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and litigating coverage matters preferredStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience in conflict resolution and complex problem scenariosProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications:California state licensed attorney in good standing Skills:Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and research skillsStrong work ethic and ability to work independentlyStrong oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite The firm specializes in technology, privacy and cyber, professional liability, and coverage litigation.
