Job Summary: The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible to lead the department’s teams towards the creation of superior-quality products that are delivered on schedule and within budget, aligning with the Kurt J. Lesker Company’s standards for excellence and fiscal goals. This key position also encompasses the strategic development of the department’s infrastructure, processes, machinery, and team composition to ensure they are in sync with the evolving business demands and overarching objectives of the Kurt J. Lesker Company. Key Job Elements: Direct manufacturing personnel to ensure adherence to schedules, administration of policies and procedures, and comprehensive documentation across all areas of responsibility Adherence to the company’s quality policies, standards, and procedures Optimize departmental operations by delivering comprehensive workflow management, planning, mechanical expertise, analytical insights and training to ensure a clean, secure, and efficient work environment Manage troubleshooting activity including systematic resolution of problem, coordination of team, resources, and communication of progress to appropriate management, always ensuring that the customer needs are met Review daily production log while ensuring that the production schedule is followed and achieved Enhance personnel performance through effective communication, active listening skills, well-conducted meetings, performance appraisals, progressive discipline, and a commitment to quality practices Review and approve employee timecards and schedules, including overtime management Proactively initiate enhancements to equipment based on operational requirements, and actively engage in both capital and continuous improvement initiatives Manage the requisition of departmental supplies, ensuring availability as per the evolving needs of the department Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Required A BS in Chemistry or Industrial Engineering Strong background in a manufacturing / production environment Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience A working knowledge in metal finishes and finished component cleanliness Effective verbal and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) Benefits & Awards: Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances On-site Gym and Running Trail Climate Controlled Environment Health & Wellness Programs including mental, physical, and financial (on-site yoga, meditation, seminars, flu shots, biometrics Screening, annual 5K and waste pick up events, etc.) Recycling program, solar panels and electric vehicle plug in station Paid time off 401(k) with employer match Office-wide events Employee recognition programs Ernst & Young LLP - Entrepreneur Of The Year® East Central Award to Kurt J.
