Fred Finch Specialized Wraparound is a family-centered, community-based program that offers highly individualized mental health and behavioral services for youth and families referred by the Regional Center of the Eastbay. These support services can include intensive care coordination with the family's extended team of providers, safety planning and crisis management, ongoing clinical assessments, direct behavioral and mental health treatment and intervention, and opportunities for psychotherapy and psychiatric and medication monitoring. Join our team as: Behavior Specialist What You Will Do The Behavioral Specialist is responsible for leading 1:1 direct behavioral intervention service to participants and caregivers in their residence or community; documentation of services; collaboration with other social service, Regional Center, educational or mental health professionals; and actively participating in group and individual supervision. Additional responsibilities include administrative tasks such as tallying behaviors or creating behavioral forms. The Behavior Specialist is active in supporting and implementing wraparound philosophy and its individualized, strengths-based, culturally responsive, family-centered approach to behavioral, evidence-based intervention. Shifts Available Full-Time- Non-Exempt. Monday - Friday 9am -5:30pm Salary Range In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $24.81 and $40.41 per hour. What You Bring to The Table (requirements): BS/BA degreeFour (4) years experience in a mental health related field OR registered intern/associate with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), Board of Psychology (BOP), or the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) (or able to obtain registered status within first six (6) months after hire). An MA/MS degree in psychology or related field that is not recognized by the BBS for Registration may be considered.Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults.Demonstrated ability to assess, triage and organize work.Theoretical understanding or experience in behavioral approaches to treatment. Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral interventions.Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.Experience working with children and familiesMotivation to continue learning and growing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).High ethical standardsPromote positive morale and team cohesionStrong organizational skills, detail oriented, able to maintain records, and work independentlyCommunicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers, supervisors, and youthsCA drivers license (or ability to obtain one) and reliable transportation Our Mission: "Fred Finch Youth & Family Services partners with individuals and communities to provide culturally responsive services that cultivate mental and physical resilience and wellness."
