We are seeking a strategic and inspirational Manager, Finance to join our dynamic team.The Manager, Finance is a key member of the global finance team and is responsible for leading a team that influences and supports business decisions that help Build-A-Bear achieve its strategic financial objectives. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and review of the consolidated financial statements Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in all financial reporting activities Maintain and enforce company policies Lead global monthly financial close process Manage and review worked performed by direct reports Establish, maintain and document internal and external controls within areas of responsibility Participate in the implementation and development of finance/accounting systems Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 6-8 years experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements Skilled in Excel Expert financial modeling, analysis and forecasting skills Proven leadership ability P referred Qualifications: Graduate Degree CPA 8-10 years experience 3+ years of management experience Behavioral Traits for Success: Strong motivation and persistence to achieve results Demonstrating honesty, reliability, and careful consideration in decision-making processes Capable of working at pace whilst maintaining accuracy of work Problem solver with strong critical thinking skills Ability to prioritize own and team workloads Effective delegation and development of team members Working Environment: Typical office environment with climate control and sufficient lighting, ergonomic desk/chairs Corporate Office located St. Louis, MO Flexible work schedule Your Performance Will Be Measured On : Accurate and timely work completion Technical knowledge communication Direct report performance Stakeholder feedback
