Security Officers are part of the public-facing team and are principally responsible for the safety and security of our visitors and staff. Security Officers contribute to the overall protection of art and aim to prevent any serious art incident. Security Officers provide security service in the lobby, in the galleries, at the staff entrance, in central and at our art storage facility. On occasion they may be asked to work in locations different from those listed. They assist with the management of visitors. Reports to Assistant Head Security Officer, Head Security Officer, Security Supervisor, Security Manager, Director of Security. As part of the Visitor Experience team, Security Officers create a positive environment for the general public and museum members.Shift times for this position are from 4:00pm - 12:00am and 12am - 8am. General Description: The Security Command Center - Console Operator primary role is for internal alarm monitoring, but is also responsible for monitoring, researching, reviewing, and analyzing physical security data sources for dissemination and reporting purposes, to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures in a timely manner, in a fast-paced environment along with support for security needs throughout out facilities. Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Basic experience configuring/administrating technical physical security systems such as access control, alarm/video monitoring platforms and other data capturing systems Monitor intrusion alarm system, video verify the alarm trigger and notify law enforcement and stakeholders as needed Review incident-based video, download to storage, and distribute to stakeholders as needed Provide appropriate escalation and prepare clear and concise communications to security and business leadership and other partners during major incidents Work independently, at times, with little direct supervision Requirements and Qualifications: Physical Security Operations Center Experience a plus Working knowledge of security equipment (CCTV, Alarm Systems and Access Control). Alarm monitoring experience a plus Experience utilizing C-Cure 9000 and Exacq Camera systems a plus Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft office products, specifically Outlook, Word, and excel is required Must be reliable, punctual, highly dependable, flexible, and able to work various schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays occasionally cover staffing shortages and fill in for time off requests Ability to keep alert and remain focused while on duty, regardless of workload and time of day or night Compensation : This is a part-time role with an hourly wage rate of $21.34.
