Opportunity & Impact Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced public relations contractor to join their team. As PR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to enhance brand visibility, promote products and services, and effectively engage with key stakeholders including media, industry influencers, and customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the public image and contribute to the mission of making healthcare data useful. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to promote our client as a thought leader and innovator in the health tech industry. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for media engagement, including press releases, media pitches, contributed articles, and speaking engagements at industry events including panels, conferences, and podcasts. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure positive coverage and placement of company news, product launches, and thought leadership content. Take direction from the Head of Marketing and Creative Director to ensure messaging and objectives for media opportunities align with the overall marketing strategy. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Legal to align PR efforts with overall business objectives and messaging. Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify potential risks or opportunities and develop proactive strategies to address them. Plan and execute media events to showcase latest innovations and achievements. Measure and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives to track progress and inform future strategies. To be successful in this role, your skills & experience should include: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations, preferably within the healthcare or technology industry. Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic PR campaigns that drive positive media coverage and support business objectives. Robust experience coaching, prepping, and training executives for media events. Strong media relations skills with a network of contacts in relevant healthcare, technology, and business media outlets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and narratives for diverse audiences. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail and a sense of urgency. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $36 to $38/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
