Learn more at The Preclinical Laboratory Operations Expert in Preclinical Affairs will work within the animal facilities of Johnson & Johnson MedTech locations in Santa Clara, CA and Redwood City, CA. These facilities support the execution of preclinical studies required to competitively position robotic and digital solutions for regulatory approval and clinical acceptance. This is a hands-on role within the Preclinical and Clinical Engineering teams and represents an outstanding opportunity to work cross functionally with various groups that utilize the Clinical Labs. Assistance and support in this space will be essential to the development of Ethicon's highly innovative digital surgery platform. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Under supervision of the Test Facility Manager and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position will: --- Support the successful execution of laboratory research studies and research activities. --- Ensure all required laboratory supplies, tools, instruments are in inventory. --- Assisting with successful lab event coordination. --- Assisting with all vendor account management and fostering relationships for ongoing laboratory needs. --- Assisting with cadaveric tissue and biohazardous waste management. --- Promoting environmental health and safety compliance in our labs per company policies. --- Assisting in reviewing and revising Lab SOP's on a quarterly basis or when necessary. --- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment is coordinated to ensure all resources meet satisfactory requirements of usage. --- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
