SPORTIME currently offers 194 indoor and outdoor tennis courts and 70 pickleball courts, as well as rinks, turf, camps, gyms and more, at sites across Long Island, in NYC, in Westchester and in the NY Capital Region. SPORTIME clubs are state-of-the-art, yet affordable, and feature the best tennis, sports and fitness facilities and programs, including the John McEnroe Tennis Academy and SPORTIME Volleyball Club). SPORTIME clubs serve individuals of every age and athletic ability, 365 days a year. JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced and creative Designer//Marketing Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day needs of the business, including: overseeing internal and external, club specific and global marketing projects; drafting copy, and tracking vetting copy, for email blasts, press releases, blogs and web site content; administering marketing programs, initiatives and campaigns, including overseeing and supporting program and site staff; supporting club marketing efforts and other related initiatives. This position requires strong writing skills and graphic design skills, as well as extensive organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a mature work ethic. This position’s foundational focus is outlined above; however it includes all aspects of marketing, digital and print, and may require managing external resources and third party web tools. Candidates must be flexible and nimble to meet needs and timelines as they arise. Responsibilities: Provide support to the Executive Director of Marketing and to the individual sites’ sales and marketing point persons Create weekly content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Content posts 12+ per week Assist with social media moderation Assist and implement content and promotional calendar (e-commerce, email blasts, cyclical promotions, etc.) Assist with website maintenance and updates. Design and create marketing materials for club initiatives including flyers, posters, banners, social posts, email blasts and other collateral. Website maintenance and branding and creation needs Assist with web tool development including UI and UX experiences Additional responsibilities as needed Skills and Qualifications: 2+ years of past work experience as a designer in marketing or similar role 2+ years of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing Knowledge of social media platforms and design guidelines Passion for staying current on social media trends and new social media engagement opportunities Experience with a social media management platform like Sprout Social or equivalent - HootSuite, Falcon, etc. Capacity to organize and manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Software Skills: Strong graphic design software skills - Full Creative Cloud Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Google suite tools - sheets, docs, slides, others Excel and PowerPoint skills Social media creator tools Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, outgoing and methodical Ability to think strategically and analytically Attention to detail Team player Familiarity with tennis, pickleball and sports a plus COMPENSATION: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, with occasional weekend hours, and additional weekday hours outside of the base schedule, as determined by the needs of the business and the position BENEFITS: Member benefits - Employees receive complimentary Sportime membership and are eligible to use club facilities, including tennis, fitness and sports, to participate in club programs on a complimentary or discounted basis, and to receive discounts on retail and other purchases. Premiums are deducted pre-tax from employees’ gross pay; Sportime contributes to the premiums of employees based upon gross pay thresholds. 401k Plan with employer match – Employees are eligible to enroll in Sportime’s 401k retirement plan, with matching, after they have completed one year of continuous service, worked at least 1000 hours in such calendar or anniversary year, and are over 21 years old (matching restrictions apply based on annual salary).
