Job Purpose: The Manager of Individual Support is an integral part of the PSO’s Development Department and Individual Support team. Reporting to the Director of Individual Support, this position manages the Symphony’s grassroots individual giving to the Annual Fund (annual goal of approximately $700,000) via direct mail, digital fundraising, and telefunding. This role is a key liaison between the Development and Marketing teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee direct mail communications, including crafting messaging, content design, list segmentation, and performance analysis for monthly renewals, quarterly new acquisition pieces, segmented asks, and Major Gift mailings. Manage all aspects of telefunding campaigns with external vendor, including lead generation, budget tracking, ongoing analysis and course-correction as needed. Plan and execute the department’s digital fundraising and stewardship efforts via email (solicitations, stewardship messaging, the Circle of Gifts newsletter), social media and enhancing website fundraising in tandem with the Marketing team.  Manage and grow the Ostinato monthly giving program by building program awareness, expanding solicitation efforts, and creating engagement touchpoints. Design and implement a dynamic Patron Benefits & Engagement Events program to cultivate and steward individual donors.  Collaborate with the Major Gifts team on the department’s moves management process to increase giving from mid-level donors via automated stewardship mail & email campaigns. Serve as the point of contact for Annual Fund donors via phone, email, and in-person at events and concerts. Monitor performance metrics to evaluate success and adjust fundraising strategies throughout the fiscal year. Build a strong relationship with the Marketing team to integrate fundraising campaigns with subscription & concert marketing activities. Other duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of fundraising or marketing experience with a proven track record of success. Advanced editorial, written, and verbal communication capabilities - the ability to tell the Symphony’s story to multiple audiences. Experience executing engaging direct mail, telefunding, and email campaigns. Experience with CRM systems and mass email software (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Prospect2, etc). Familiarity/proficiency in Tessitura or other industry-specific CRMs a plus. Project management experience with a focus on maintaining timelines & hitting goals. Ability to foster working relationships to maximize communication, creativity, and innovation with internal and external stakeholders. Analytical skills, including synthesizing data to draw conclusions and make strategic decisions. Ability and willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and/or weekends when necessary to meet team and organizational goals. Previous work in a nonprofit setting preferred. Knowledge of, or a desire to learn about, orchestral music is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to operate related equipment, i.e. computer, copier, scanner Compensation and Location: This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range between $47,000 - $53,000 depending upon experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefit package which includes paid holidays, paid time off, health benefits, as well as retirement savings options.
