Skypostal, INC. Is seeking a Shipping Operations Manager in Miami, FL. Duties include: Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the shipping and receiving activities in the warehouse. Supervise the handling of freight reservations and documentation as well as coordinating ground operations, and the status for on-time departure of the flights. Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits. Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment. Supporting the General Manager in enforcing productivity and quality rates, reviews/pay adjustments, payroll, and any other related issues to ensure the daily workload is completed efficiently and accurately. Manage general activity of export, import, and customs clearance of cargo with carriers, vendors, trucking companies, warehouse packing facilities, customs brokers, and/or other applicable parties. Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads. Estimate material, time, and staffing requirements for a given project, based on work orders, job specifications, and experience. Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures. Participate in the hiring process by reviewing credentials, conducting interviews, or making hiring decisions or recommendations. Quote prices to customers. In charge of managing the Magaya fulfillment System. In charge of the Purchasing and customer service operation of all destination countries. Provide Customer Service to Brokers and consignees with information on shipments from information on AMS. Perform traffic duties for departing flights from Miami; as well as handling all documentation such as T&E, Bills of Lading, and Airway Bills for EL AL flights. Requirements: 2 years of experience as an operations Manager in the cross-border and E-Commerce drop shipping industry. Experience in Global forwarding operation and sales, and handling documentation such as T&E, Bills of Lading, and Airway Bills for EL AL flights. Sound knowledge of industry-specific transport logistics, especially air freight transport. Working knowledge of logistics and planning software such as Magaya, and AMS.
