We are dedicated to excellence every day... JOB SUMMARY The Student Intern works in the Professional Development and Emergency Preparedness department and assists with job-related projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists with projects in Emergency Preparedness and, if time permits, Professional Development. Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices. Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education A high school diploma is required; majoring in emergency preparedness, public health, or similar field is preferred. Licensure None Experience None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to interact with the public, staff, medical staff, hospital staff, and board. Ability to develop positive interaction with physicians and staff in order to care for the patient's educational needs effectively. Able to communicate effectively. Ability to compose written reports and correspondence. Ability to initiate projects and follow through independently. Organizes and prioritizes workload with minimal supervision. Requires both the coordination and completion of tasks under deadlines and exposure to stressful situations. Computer Knowledge, including the ability to enter material into electronic records.
