Employbridge Search is currently recruiting for a Project Cargo Specialist with freight forwarding and logistic experience in the Deer Park Texas area. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain daily contact with overseas colleagues, clients, receivers and suppliers * Coordinate with transportation companies and other vendors providing services to the company and their clients in providing best options through existing or new suppliers * Partner existing and new customers to for business expansion or new business * Ensure key performance indicators are met in the coordination of shipment handling independently, heavy lift and over-sized cargo via air, sea, barge, charters etc. * Provide accurate and timely production of relevant documentation including import or export declarations, customs clearance, MES declarations * Prepare spot quotations, data for tender documents and actively participate in commercial support * Manage the projects to ensure correct and timely billings are received from vendors and agents * Ensure billings, payables and reconciliations are correct and disputes resolved in a timely manner * Complete all tasks and administration relating to local services such as trucking, warehousing services including full hub operations, cargo surveys etc. * Identify, perform and implement corrective actions to prevent a re-occurrence of customer complaints or incidences * Report incidents and hazards as per the relevant working instructions * Maintain proper documentation and close files when complete * Perform other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma * 3 plus years of freight forwarding customer service preferred * Experience with steamship, trucking, warehouses, ports and other vendor selection * Proficient in MS Office Produces (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) * Strong analytical skills, math including rate of exchange, percentages and volumetric conversions * Excellent project management skills * Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required * Ability to influence others and build consensus using good written and verbal communication skills
