The Student Pastor serves in a pivotal role of building upon an already g rowing, dynamic ministry for middle school and high school students . We believe that just one encounter with Jesus can change everyone and everything! This role has impact church wide including being part of the weekend teaching team. For additional information and to apply directly check out : https://jobs.crelate.com/portal/rukesgroup/job/iritkcoqfr79crroubhkof54gy ABOUT THE STUDENT PASTOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reach Students Plan and deliver Sunday ministry gatherings and other events through a strong, dedicated team. This also includes camps, retreats, mission trips, or other activities that the Student Pastor determines will serve students well. Develop partnerships and maintain positive presence in the community, schools, and on churchs social media. Empower Students In addition to ensuring relevant Bible teaching, build meaningful community through small groups. Identify and pursue opportunities to deploy students to reach friends. Provide counsel and spiritual guidance to students as appropriate, with wisdom to involve others as needed. Lead a Team Recruit the right people to fill specific roles, then inspire and appreciate them. Ensure volunteers receive training and equipping to serve students well. Oversee the volunteer team to ensure their health, effectiveness, and policy alignment. While caring for people, manage the Encounter YTH annual budget. Support Families Communicate with parents/guardians to build rapport, familiarity, and trust. Equip parents as appropriate and, when needed, provide counsel and spiritual guidance. In collaboration with other ministries, develop ways to strengthen and encourage families. Church-wide Impact Serve on the churchs teaching team. Involve Encounter YTH in events and other ministry opportunities. Act as the internal ambassador for student ministry. Participate in churchwide staff meetings and planning. Receive other responsibilities as determined by the PCC Leadership team. CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS Well-fit for student ministry Articulates a calling to ministry, specifically a heart for students. Adept at relationship building with students, families, and the surrounding community. Strong understanding of student ministry. Positive impact on the churchs culture and staff team As a committed and mature Christ-follower, lives into Jesus command to Love one another. A friendly and professional demeanor, a hospitable and humble spirit, and a kind, compassionate, and caring heart for all people and for developing/maintaining God-honoring relationships with other staff and volunteers. Views issues as opportunities and maintains a contagiously positive perspective. Handles trust well This position requires exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. Comfortable discussing successes, mistakes, things that work well, and areas for improvement. High energy bounded within solid decision-making.
