Job DescriptionPuget Sound Energy Bothell, WA seeks Senior Application Development Analysts, responsible for duties diagnose complex problems, develop and implement specialized technical requirements in specific environment and design and implement analytics solutions using Databricks on AWS. Job Responsibilities Effectively understand relevant business processes so that they can be modeled in internal systems and in order to design ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows with SAP HANA from SQL, SAP ECC, and SAP BW applications and seamlessly connect with AWS Cloud. Perform complex and demanding tasks dealing with the analysis, design, configuration, development and implementation of solutions serving business line and functional units. Maintain or develop complex application components (analysis, design, development and implementation of solutions) based on functional requirements in the specialized technical environments to include building end:to:end, serverless and real:time data processing pipelines using Apache Spark on AWS Cloud platform, AWS EC2, AWS GLUE, AWS Data Pipeline, and AWS Lambda. Lead coordination, facilitate interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business line and functional units. Carry out detailed system design and writes functional and technical requirements/specs, develop test plans and apply testing, and quality monitoring procedures. Provide guidance to business and functional units in developing tests and training plans and materials. Provide day:to:day support to users and to lower:level developers, as well as drive improved user productivity through developing and implementing new business process and systems solutions specifically implementing CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeDeploy to automate software development and deployment processes. Lead other team members, as required during the development cycle of assigned projects. Responsible for the identification and resolution of gaps in the business processes and be involved in security/authorization set:up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation. Specify and apply testing and quality monitoring procedures. Provide necessary coordination, facilitating interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business line and functional units and building reports by leveraging Cloud Watch, Athena and Power BI. Participate at the departmental level in line organization initiatives, tactics and strategies to act as a liaison from the line organizations to IT for continued development of the internal systems. Provide leadership and mentoring to subordinates. Participate in project initiation and define high:level requirements. Work collaboratively with Project Management to organize and lead the development effort. Assist in tailoring the development process to meet the project needs and assists project managers in scheduling, budget tasks and defines high:level requirements. Mentor others and monitor other business or technical analysts in project software development methods and processes and align these processes with project needs. Provide technology direction to business for tactical approaches. Establish and manage moderate sized project plans. Manage interface activities with middleware systems and processes that connect to core systems, create Python workflows using Pandas for enabling data integration and generating business reports.
