TRANSPORTATION PROJECT MANAGER Location: Orange, CA Salary: $130,000 - $165,000 OVERVIEW A prominent firm offering comprehensive professional services encompassing transportation, engineering, mobility planning, and construction management for both public agencies and private sector clients. Our team comprises licensed civil and traffic engineers, accredited transportation planners, certified road safety experts, seasoned project/construction managers, and proficient construction inspectors. We offer planning, environmental assessment, design, construction engineering, inspection, and right-of-way services tailored to surface transportation, rail, transit, and aviation clients. By collaborating, we leverage extensive resources and capabilities to deliver inventive solutions, ultimately enriching the quality of life within the communities we support. REQUIREMENTS Apply a broad understanding of transportation engineering and design principles. Offer guidance on roadway and intersection design, overseeing all project management aspects, client interaction, and mentoring of junior staff. Coordinate project teams of varying sizes and skill sets while overseeing both staff and subcontractors. Ensure quality assurance and control by reviewing and developing construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Engage with clients to identify and cultivate new business opportunities for the organization. Serve as a representative for clients and the company at project meetings, community engagements, and public hearings. Review construction plans, design calculations, and cost estimates for accuracy and compliance with engineering standards. Address complex problems, assess alternatives, and develop effective solutions. Prepare proposals and contribute to proposal presentations. Participate in client-focused business development initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and a robust understanding of civil/traffic engineering principles. Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) with a California Civil Engineer license. Over 8 years of extensive experience overseeing projects and personnel. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in CADD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam Software. Familiarity with relevant design standards and guidelines, such as Caltrans Standard Plans & Specifications, APWA Greenbook, Caltrans Highway Design Manual, California MUTCD, and the capacity to acquaint oneself with City Municipal Design standards.
