The successful candidate will conduct title examinations, draft title opinions, provide legal guidance on transactions, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Duties:Conduct title examinations to determine ownership of oil and gas propertiesAnalyze relevant documents such as deeds, leases, and contractsDraft title opinions highlighting ownership rights and any issues affecting property useConduct due diligence reviews for oil and gas transactionsProvide legal guidance on risks, liabilities, and mitigation strategiesDraft, review, and negotiate agreements and contractsStay updated on federal, state, and local laws and regulationsCollaborate with litigation attorneys if legal action is requiredFoster teamwork and collaboration among team membersMeet quarterly billable hour requirementsActively pursue continuous learning opportunitiesSupport other projects as assigned or dictated by business priorities Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license8+ years of experience drafting title opinions in Texas or New MexicoFamiliarity with operators in the Permian BasinFamiliarity preparing large, unit-wide division order ownerships with tract and allocation factorsExceptional commitment to ethical practice and client confidentialityExcellent interpersonal communication skillsPassion for professional development and skill enhancementStrong organizational and multitasking abilities Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceExcellent healthcare benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.)Additional insurance optionsFlex holidays and 401K match programQuarterly team-based bonus system
