We’re seeking a skilled and experienced construction estimator to join our team. You will assist our busy team by producing proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs for construction projects. Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in construction estimation and very strong communication and project management skills. Responsibilities: • Revisit previously submitted proposal and budgets with clients• Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers• Inspect the construction site to collect necessary client requirement information• Compute labor, construction materials, time, and product costs to estimate overall cost for construction projects• Analyze blueprints, proposals, specifications, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole• Collaborate with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors• Provide accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs• Qualify bids invited through various platforms with suitable contractors• Maintain a minimum annual gross margin set forth in the department Qualifications: • 3 years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is necessary• Stellar communication, project management, and time-management skills are crucial• Comprehension of research methodology, accounting, data and risk analysis, and estimation metrics is crucial• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software Compensation: $22 - $28 hourly About Company: Retrofit Service Company, Inc. is an established and always-growing company that has been in business for over 30 years with a dynamic workforce.
