Front Desk AssociateGENERAL SUMMARY: The Front Desk Representative is the first line of contact for members and guests. They will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service and cleanliness to Extreme Studio Performance, prospective members, and guests. They will make every client feel welcome.Front Desk Associate:This detail-oriented individual will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members. Basic understanding of accounting principles, cash processing procedures and computer skills required.The Front Desk Team Member will greet and direct members, guests, and staff as they enter the gym and provide control of the front door location. This position will aid members' requests along with inquiries about gym operations and policies as well as perform various administrative duties as directed by the Gym Owner. Major Responsibilities Enthusiastically greets each member and guests promptly using the proper greeting for time of day to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the gym. Provides security and control to the front door and retail area of the facility . Personally, checks each member into the gym using the proper check-in procedures. Monitor check-ins to identify delinquent accounts and notifies Gym Operations. Register all guests into the gym using proper registration procedures. Ensures that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate fitness... Answers phone by the third ring in a professional and courteous manner and uses proper phone greeting techniques. Addresses caller's requests and/or takes appropriate messages noting caller's name. Registers all telephone inquiries in the script pad and in the Master Production Binder and transfers the call to the appropriate Fitness Consultants . Responsible for following up on telephone inquiries to ensure that the appointment was booked properly. Responds immediately to member requests, inquiries, and concerns. Maintain neat appearance and wear proper uniform attire with while on duty. Distributes keys, towels and other materials as needed. Reserve’s time/makes appointments for field rentals or other activities sponsored by the gym. Processes retail and concession sales. Attends all staff meetings as directed. Cleans and maintains the front desk area accordingly to Company standards. Responsible for gym walk-thru as designated in walk-thru log. Follow proper opening and closing procedures as instructed. Logs all maintenance concerns that are reported . Follows and reports any safety concerns. Notifies management of gym incidents that requires incident reports. Works when scheduled and adheres to company attendance policies. Performs other reasonable work assignments as directed by the Gym Owner to include but not limited Cleaning and picking up weights. Always maintains a professional image and behavior-* avoids eating, sitting, reading internet surfing, using a personal cell phone or other activities which are not work related*. Notifies management of gym incidents that requires incident reports. Works when scheduled and adheres to company attendance policies. Performs other reasonable work assignments as directed by the Gym Owner to include but not limited Cleaning and picking up weights. Always maintains a professional image and behavior-* avoids eating, sitting, reading internet surfing, using a personal cell phone or other activities which are not work related*.Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent customer service skills are required. Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members. Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and in writing is required Understanding of basic accounting principles is required. Understanding of basic cash processing procedures is required. Functional computer skills are required. Ability to multi-task. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends. Must be able to lift 25lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods of time Uphold ESP’s Gym Vision, Mission, Values, and code of conduct. Comply with all ESP’s policies and procedures. * Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Minimum experience: * Must have 6 months' customer service experience in health club, retail, hospitality, or food service industry. * Experience with multiple phone lines preferred. * Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements: * Required to stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. * Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. * Ability to stand and remain on your feet for a full shift. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Answers incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner and transfers phone calls promptly and to the right department or individuals.* Checks in members and verifies membership; signs up members for group fit or ultimate classes.* Registers prospective members and directs them to the membership department.* Addresses members' questions or direct them to the appropriate individual for better assistance.* Sells supplements, apparel and other ESP Gym retail items to members.* Rings up purchases on the point of sales system and provides accurate change.* Responds professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members, and staff.* Provides information to members regarding special club events.* Immediately reports or escalates to management any unsafe conditions or emergency situations. Administrative* always Keeps front desk and lobby neat and clean. * Performs opening and closing procedures for the front desk, as assigned. * Attends monthly meetings or other scheduled meetings. * Assist with inventory or product pricing, as needed. * Calls all past due members regarding late dues and down payments. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: The Front Desk Representative reports to Owner. This position may interact with all levels of management and staff, within the Front Desk Representative team. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Able Knowledge, skills & abilities:* Must be energetic and possess a very friendly, outgoing personality and positive attitude.* Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone etiquette.* Possess a strong customer service focus.* Understands and follows oral and written instructions.*Ability to multi-task and perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.* Must be a team player and possess a can-do attitude.* Adhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times.Work Remotely No
