Summary: Evergreen Fire and Security is looking for a qualified Security Specialist Technician in Monterey, CA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced low voltage technician. Works under the supervision of the Project Manager as a field representative on installations, testing and maintenance of low voltage security systems. This job is located at Monterey, CA. Job Duties and Functions: * Install, repair, test and maintenance of fire and security projects as assigned * Provide field customer service to customer and represent EFS * Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations (including OSHA safety standards) as applicable to service * Installation and maintenance of all systems * Maintain vehicle, uniform and tools as the policy states for EFS staff * Accurately complete all paperwork directly related to the service orders and projects * Must be able to install conduit as necessary * Must be able to train customers on the usage of all applicable products used in installation and/or upgrades. * Must be available to travel as necessary * Must maintain a professional appearance at all times * Must maintain confidentiality at all times * All other duties as assigned within your qualifications Experience and Skills: Requirements: * OSHA 30 certificate * Valid CPR/First Aid card * Valid Electrician certificate or trainee card * High school diploma or equivalent * IT or an electrical background. Basic electrical wiring experience. * Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) * Good communication skills to interface with customers * Able to call and schedule appointments, follow instructions and code requirements * Perform follow-up to ensure the client is ready for inspection * Attention to detail * Ability to work autonomously * Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude * Required to obtain Secret Level or higher security clearance * Must have a valid driver's license and proof of minimum liability insurance * Must be able to pass a pre-employment and continuing random background, drug and MVR screenings Preferred: * Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of verifiable related work experience * Experienced in the IT field * Experienced electrician * Current Secret Level or higher security clearance * Certifications or experience on the following: MDI, Vindicator, DAQ, Lenel, AMAG, Advantor, HIRSCH, Pelco, Bosch * Prior experience working on government contracts or military bases preferred Job Benefits: Job Benefits: * Paid Vacation time (Accrual begins on date of hire; eligibility effective following 90 days of active employment) * 7 Paid Holidays * Life, Accident Death and Dismemberment, and Disability Insurance * 401K Benefit * Evergreen Fire Alarms will make Safe Harbor matching contributions in the amount of 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2% of participant contributions for the calendar year.
