Quick Illinois, Inc. is hiring a full-time Warehouse Mechanic Technician at our Morris, IL location. This is a Union position with Laborers Local 681. Position: Warehouse Mechanic Technician Position Overview As the Warehouse Mechanic Technician, you will perform repair work and maintenance for Company vehicles and equipment. Duties/Responsibilities: Identifies mechanical problems Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined. Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups. Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Master technician certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence required. Three to five years of related experience required. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair. Excellent mechanical repair skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues. Ability to read service and repair manuals. Ability to regularly lift 50-100 pounds. You will be paid weekly and eligible to participate in the Union benefits including Vacation and Holiday Pay, a Defined Benefit Pension Plan, and the Health and Welfare Plan.
