JOB DESCRIPTION As lead data scientist the person is responsible for developing and supporting advanced analytical solutions for mfg. operations leveraging Machine Learning (MI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities. The ideal candidate is an experienced individual who enjoys leveraging data skills to analyze and solve complex problems in mfg. operations. The individual is expected to set up standards and guidelines for ML Ops. Must be self-directed and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, at times, supporting the analytic needs of multiple teams.RESPONSIBILITIES * Understanding and translating business requests to viable and value-add analytic solution opportunities. * Designing and implementing end to end digital solutions on diverse data sets from mfg. and non mfg. applications and devices. * Leveraging advanced analytics capability (including ML/AI) to the digital solutions for improving mfg. operations. * Collaborating with diverse teams at various levels, from business operations to mgmt. and with IT peers. * Adhere to IT architecture standards and contribute to establishing and improving the same, as needed. * Provide thought leadership and innovative approach to solutions delivery, guide teams on emerging technology trends in data and analytics. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a concentration in the field of computer science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or related technical discipline. * 5+ years' experience building and supporting Machine Learning (MI) and AI analytic solutions for mfg. operations and processes. * Advanced working knowledge of data wrangling using SQL, Python or any suitable ML and AI technology. * Experience working with mfg. applications (Scada, MES, Historian, IoT) and databases. * Real world experience creating and operationalizing analytical solutions with ML/AI capabilities. * Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities. * Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. * Strong leadership, stakeholder relationship management, and communication skills; ability to proactively engage and work effectively with global and local teams and manage priorities. * Experience working with ML/AI and Business Intelligence platforms in a hybrid cloud and on-premise environments for medium to large scale businesses. * Ability to effectively collaborate across technical teams and business stakeholders. * Experience with one or more of the following technologies: * ML/AI preferably on Azure and/or Snowflake platforms. * ML Ops * IoT data * ETL tools * MS Power BI ABOUT US Duracell is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of high-performance alkaline batteries, complemented by a portfolio of high quality, market leading specialty, rechargeable and professional batteries.
