Maintenance Technician - Wed - Sun Schedule

Under the leadership of the Director of Facility Services, the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance and facility duties needed to maintain the quality and safety of Holgate Center Campus facilities. The person hired for this position will primarily work in the Friendship Health Center building on the Holgate Center Campus. We will train you to do the job as long as you have: A positive attitude and the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and family members at all times The maturity to manage time effectively and stay on task An eye for detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting A valid Driver's License SCHEDULE 8-hour day shift Wednesday - Sunday 11:00 am - 7:30 pm (training hours may be different) HOURLY WAGE $21.00 - $27.30 per hour DOE BENEFITS Paid Time Off 403(b) with Employer Match Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Employee Assistance Program Flexible Schedule Flexible Spending Accounts Free Parking Life & AD&D Insurance Referral Bonus Program Reduced Fare Bus Pass ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for interior and exterior building maintenance including landscape, parking lots, and fences Assist with routine building maintenance duties Complete preventative maintenance activities Perform routine repairs on fixtures and equipment Perform general cleaning duties on an as-needed basis such as cleaning up after a project; as well as heavy-duty cleaning tasks; shampooing carpets; and cleaning hard to hard-to-reach light fixtures Communicate effectively with residents, fellow associates, vendors, and supervisors Experience in Skilled Nursing a plus QUALIFICATIONS Experience or ability to learn all maintenance duties Must be physically able to handle machinery used routinely in caring for flooring; shampooing, waxing, and sweeping/dusting Ability to perform inspections to determine areas that need improvement Ability to stand/walk for the entire duration of shift (30-minute meal break and two 15-minute breaks of course! Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Knowledge of the use of tools related to nursing facility a plus Willingness to drive a 12-passenger bus (occasionally) to transport residents and their staff to community outings. Effective verbal and written communication skills . Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
