The Driver Manager will also have driving responsibility.--From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Oversee and conduct movement of trailers in yard and to off-site storage locations (local).Ensures adherence to all safety programs and leads operations to ensure compliance with all DOT and regulatory standards.With support of the Sr. Transportation Manager, establishes productivity goals, operating standards, and manages labor hours.Manage and support the truck maintenance schedule.Orient, train, and coach team members on safety requirements and compliance. Will conduct daily safety meetings.Demonstrate commitment to a safe working environment that promotes the health and wellbeing of all employees and that will further contribute to the Company s overall performance and success.--Manage the yard management system and ensure driver compliance and productivity with this systemComplete required yard audits to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that product temperatures are maintainedTravel and/or extended or off work hours may be required.This description reflects management s assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.To fulfill these responsibilities, tools such as a computer, phone, and/or allowance(s) may be provided.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these Essential Duties and Responsibilities.RequirementsFrom your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years experience in transportation, logistics, and/or driving--2-3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity--CDL-A license requiredClean MVR (driving record) and ability to complete pre-hire DOT drug screening & DOT physicalSkills / AbilitiesAbility to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle and operate in a safe mannerAbility to operate commercial vehicles, maneuvering at varying speeds and in difficult situations such as inclement weather or tight loading dock areasAvailability to work a flexible schedule that can be up to 12 hours daily.
