DESCRIPTION: Mobivity is seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer to provide support in SMS-SMPP Messaging, network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.RESPONSIBILITIES: Support and maintenance of Kannel SMPP gateways used to connect to aggregator and Carrier Messaging Binds. Support and maintain existing IVR infrastructure, including Brekeke, Freeswitch, SipOpenSer, and Level 3. Develop new IVR (Interactive Voice Response) software with Twilio to provide unsubscribe service. Utilize knowledge of Datadog comprehensive monitoring software development, configuration, and maintenance for monitoring cloud applications in Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Services. Comprehensive DNS monitoring, certificate validation lookup and monitoring and direct work with Devops to ensure security. Backend cloud infrastructure maintenance and support, management of virtual machines, Images, Linux, and Windows operating systems hosted on AWS. Utilize understanding of SMS, MMS, RCS, and other common messaging systems and applications. Maintain five nines (99.999%) uptime in enterprise services environment. Develop, create, and maintain monitors and dashboards for application and infrastructure metrics using Datadog.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Demonstrated expertise in handling Mobile Messaging Protocols and tools within AWS cloud deployments and AWS cloud management. 1+ years of proficiency in Mobile Messaging Protocols: In-depth knowledge and experience working with SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), and RCS (Rich Communication Services). Kannel SMPP gateways used for connecting to aggregator and carrier messaging binds Support and maintenance of IVR infrastructure, including Brekeke, Freeswitch, SipOpenSer, and Level 3. Development of new IVR software using Twilio for unsubscribe services. Datadog comprehensive monitoring software for developing, configuring, and maintaining monitoring systems in Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Services Maintaining and supporting backend cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, images, Linux and Windows operating systems Working experience of messaging security protocols and best practices to protect our user data and prevent unauthorized access. Real-life experience and skills in optimizing messaging processes for speed, efficiency, and scalability to handle high volumes of messages. Comprehensive DNS monitoring, certificate validation lookup, and working directly with DevOps to ensure security. Experience in maintaining a high level of uptime (99.998%) in an enterprise services environment.
