Performs service functions for customers, as well as cross-selling, remarketing, and account rounding while at the same time aiming to maintain a 95% customer retention goal by performing the following duties:RESPONSIBILITIESMust consistently follow set procedures and complete tasks correctly and on time. The employee is directly responsible for independently maintaining his/her workload, which could include the following: Other duties may be assigned as needed. * Performs functions to include initiating and follow-up with customers to sell products, resolve problems, answer questions, educate customers on coverages, and use customer information to continually find ways to improve the customer experience. * Ensures that customer's needs and requests are prioritized, addressed & responded to quickly & appropriately. Follows through on client commitments despite time pressures or obstacles. * Handles challenging or unsatisfied customers with confidence and competence so that the customer is satisfied. * Prepares, presents, and reviews applications, submissions, quotes, proposals, summaries of insurance, etc. Reviews and monitors coverages, premiums, endorsements, cancellations, non-renewals, proof of insurance, and data entry for accuracy. * Assists customers and arranges payment terms in accordance with established guidelines. * Strives to achieve annual production goals by effectively account rounding and cross-selling. Revisits lost opportunities and solicit referrals from current clients. * New business calls should be addressed quickly providing regular status updates with the client if there is a delay getting a quote. * Aims to maintain a 95% customer retention goal through personalized customer service. * Proactively contacts current customers to explain existing coverages, explore possible changes in exposure, identify account rounding opportunities, and address low coverage issues or coverage gaps. * Keeps up to date with carrier appetites and markets available with the ability to quote and navigate all carrier websites effectively. Places business, when possible, with preferred standard carriers. * Correspond with carriers effectively by providing additional information needed for renewals, following up on renewal quotes to present to customers in a timely fashion, and intervening in any customer-related issues. * Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the marketplace. * Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality. * Creates and maintains computer files and suspense for follow-up action. Manages EPIC home screen effectively by reducing any backlog and staying current with workload. * Maintains Outlook inbox and open activities organized and up to date. * Provides advisory support and assistance to the administration as needed. These include but are not limited to Management System (EPIC), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), DocuSign, Teams, Momentum, Vcheck, Camera, SharePoint). Training will be provided.Communication Skills: * Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills are required. * Written and oral communication with customers, carriers, vendors, realtors, lenders, and co-workers should always be professional.Initiative & Problem Solving: * Able to work with minimum supervision to complete work and resolve problems. * Recognize issues and offer effective and efficient solutions.Time Management: * Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to stay on task and meet or exceed sales goals. * Must be punctual and adhere to scheduled work hours including lunch and breaks. Stay within the allotted PTO time. * Effectively utilize work hours of operation to complete responsibility in a timely efficient manner. Know when to ask for help. * Utilize tools available to perform efficiently. Ability to delegate and use all available resources to increase efficiency (Assistant, Resource Pro).HoursA predetermined 35-hour work week. Work hours to be scheduled around our office open phone hours of 8:30am-4:00 pm to provide adequate coverage for Customer Service needs. QUALIFICATIONS * Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), NJ Property & Casualty Producer License; and a minimum of three years of insurance experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Past insurance experience should include writing and servicing condominium or commercial accounts. Personality profiles should indicate sales ability and tendencies.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations In force NJ State Property & Casualty Producer License. CISR Designation is required for Large Account Management.Oral/Written Communication SkillsSpeaks clearly; listens and gets clarifications. Responds well to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public. Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, pro-rata, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting. Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.Computer SkillsKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.Other Skills and AbilitiesSkill and ability to type 35-40 wpm. Skill and ability to operate a computer. Skill and ability to organize and prioritize work. Skill and ability to meet deadlines and operate office equipment. Skill and ability to use company software. Skill and ability to sell.
