As part of our Operations team, you will play a crucial role in bringing these promising therapies from the lab to life. Our cell therapy facility in Rockville, Maryland, is the newest addition to our global supply network of nearly 30 manufacturing and supply facilities in 16 countries. This manufacturing facility aims to make a direct contribution and immediate impact on patients by delivering life-saving cell therapies. It's challenging but gratifying work, involving hundreds of dedicated people throughout the manufacturing lifecycle along with supporting office functions.Join us as an Associate Director of Warehouse and Logistics, where you will be responsible for all warehousing operations and logistics including warehouse management, replenishment, and cycle counting of controlled materials. This is your chance to adapt and innovate at pace, experiencing the excitement and varied challenges as we launch new products. What you will do: Assist in the implementation of various activities including warehouse design and material flow, creation of standard operating procedures, development of warehousing training program, and establishment of a cycle count program.Responsible for all warehouse management activities, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Manage all aspects of team development, delegating work assignments to team members as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 10 years warehouse or supply chain logisticsMinimum of 5 years of management/supervisory experienceGMP experience required, biopharma experience preferredExperience with inventory control systems, preferably SAP, and computer office programsImport/Export and cold chain experience requiredAbility to thoroughly investigate/ perform root cause analysis, identify potential issues, and propose solutions through verbal and written communicationAbility to write SOP's and reports independently Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in a related fieldCell banking experience preferredExperience in a fast-paced, innovative environmentStrong leadership skills Why AstraZeneca?
