MRI, a woman-owned Technologies and Engineering Services company, has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integrator on the JETS II Contract at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. We are excited about what we do, and we need you on our team as we take on exciting challenges for NASA's pursuits in deep space exploration. As a Systems Integrator you will: Understands complex systems, particularly interfaces and interdependencies Able to apply model-based systems engineering best practices to developing models of systems Experienced developing interface control documents Experienced with software development and architectures Experienced with autonomous systems Perform other duties as required Here's What You'll Need: Requisition Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience with software verification and validation processes Experience with complex distributed systems Experience with developing software using C/C++ in a Linux environment Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS NG Experience with web-based collaboration tools Requisition Preferences: Experience with tools such as, Confluence, Gitlab, JIRA, MS Teams, Slack, Sharepoint Strong evidence of success in highly collaborative projects/environments Ability to succeed in fast-paced environments Must be flexible, open to new challenges in a dynamic environment Possess strong technical expertise combined with verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision Must be a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic Must have highly developed coordination and organization skills Excellent communicator, particularly written communication and visual diagram creation Scripting languages such as Python Agile software development NASA software and systems development standards NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software including the Core Flight System (CFS)software infrastructure Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which this position has been advertised. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time). Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements. Other Essential Functions Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.As we are a Federal Contractor, most positions require the employee to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government background investigation.
