NEW HIGHER SALARY: $34,936 - $61,137 The Challenge We are looking for an entry-Level Survey Engineering Technician to join our Randolph County engineering team. In this role, you will: Support senior technicians and engineers in route location surveying. Perform standardized and non-standardized tasks and assignments compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data. Apply limited decision making and use good engineering/surveying judgment. Perform surveying/engineering calculations and computations. Work under supervision of senior technicians and engineers as a part of an engineering survey crew. Lead basic field and office technical assignments relating to highway route location project surveys. Perform survey instrument operations and CADD/computer operations in the surveying and creation of plan sheets and survey data including hydraulic surveys, complex horizontal alignments, setting photogrammetric controls, property condemnations, and Global Positioning System (GPS) field work. Operate Electronic Engineering Survey Equipment and CADD equipment. Complete Courthouse research. Maintain safety and lead by example. What You Bring Demonstrated ability to verbally communicate technical information, including via handheld radio. Computer skills to perform basic internet tasks, such as online property searches. Basic math skills in geometry, trigonometry, and algebra. Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in less complex assignments, such as collecting data or photogrammetric/topographical features in the field for plan sheet preparation. Education & Experience Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or a related field; or An equivalent combination of training and experience. Don't have an Associates degree?
