Be the difference.Job SummaryThis position is under the direction and supervision of a licensed, registered dietitian nutritionist.The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutrition care and education to patients and/or caregiver(s). Email . -Accountabilities Coordinates, reviews, plans, updates, and implements medical nutrition therapy to patients according to established policies and procedures. - 30% Monitors patients receiving nutrition support . - 25% Provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, staff and community partners. - 15% Serves as a preceptor for medical, dietetic and food service interns and/or clinical research. - 15% Participates and serves on interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, multidisciplinary committees and/or discharge planning. - 10% Assist with performance and quality improvement projects. - 5%Supervisory/Management ResponsibilitiesThis is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.Minimum QualificationsEducation - Bachelor's degree from an Academy of Dietetics (AND) accredited institution and/or approved internship programExperience - No previous experience required -Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Registration South Carolina Dietetics LicenseOther Required Skills/Experience Maintain 75 hours of continuing education every 5 years Ability to interpret data, teach, communicate to other healthcare professionals, manipulate numbers and write in medical record Inpatient, outpatient or community healthcare experience -(PREFERRED) Knowledge of AND, Joint Commission, Department of Health and Environmental Control and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (PREFERRED)Work ShiftVariable (United States of America)LocationCorporateFacility7001 CorporateDepartment70019061 Talent AcquisitionShare your talent with us!
