The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, and have familiarity with U.S. and foreign patent prosecution. Experience in health and medicine sectors is advantageous. The role requires excellent academic credentials, strong organizational and communication skills, and a strategic approach to prosecution. Registration with the USPTO and prior law firm experience are mandatory. Duties:Conduct patent prosecution for software and electronics IP across multiple industriesHandle all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecutionCollaborate with clients to understand their patent needs and objectivesDraft and review patent applications, responses, and related documentsConduct patentability and prior art searchesProvide legal advice and opinions related to patent mattersAssist with patent litigation support as needed Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent2-5 years of experience in patent prosecution, preferably in a law firm settingRegistration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)Familiarity with software and electronics IPKnowledge of health and medicine sectors is desirableExcellent academic record with a demonstrated commitment to client serviceSuperior organizational and communication skills, both written and oralCreative and strategic approach to patent prosecution Preferred Skills:Experience in patent litigation supportIndustry work experience in software, electronics, or related fields Certifications:Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) As one of the largest law firms in the U.S. with more than 40 offices, it was founded in 1967.
