Practice Area: Employment Law - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 5-6 years of experience in the Labor and Employment Practice. The candidate will primarily provide advice and counseling and policy drafting services to firm clients. The ideal candidate should have a particular interest in compliance and counseling, with strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills. Significant counseling and meaningful litigation experience, along with a substantive background in wage and hour law, are necessary. Strong academic credentials and membership in the California State Bar are required for this position. Duties:Provide legal advice and counseling to clients on various labor and employment law mattersDraft employment policies, handbooks, and other related documentsConduct legal research and analysis on complex labor and employment issuesAssist clients in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsRepresent clients in labor and employment-related litigation, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, and wrongful termination casesPrepare pleadings, motions, and other court filingsParticipate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processesStay updated on developments in labor and employment law and provide training to clients and colleagues as needed Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolMembership in the California State Bar5-6 years of experience in the Labor and Employment PracticeStrong interest in compliance and counselingExcellent interpersonal, writing, and analytical skillsKeen attention to detailProactive attitude and initiative to take ownership over work and careerSubstantive background in wage and hour lawDemonstrated ability to handle a high volume of work and prioritize tasks effectively Preferred Skills:Experience working with clients in a variety of industriesFamiliarity with employment-related litigation procedures and strategiesKnowledge of California employment laws and regulations As one of the largest law firms in the U.S. with more than 40 offices, it was founded in 1967.
