Shared Hospital Services is looking to hire Delivery Drivers in Portsmouth, Va. This position is a varied schedule Sunday through Saturday and is paid a competitive wage depending on experience. DELIVERY DRIVER POSITION This position is responsible for the safe delivery, unloading and storage of goods to/at hospitals and healthcare facilities. Good driving and customer service skills are essential to this position. Required to maintain safety DOT compliant requirements, perform pre-trip checks and maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle. Must keep accurate daily delivery records and maintain shipping documents. Loading and securing bins of linens in delivery vehicle, delivering and unload clean linen bins, reloads and return soiled linen collection bins to industrial plant. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by the demands of the business. Must possess flexibility(tasks change daily) and will be assigned by management. Will be provided a company uniform to maintain a neat professional appearance. QUALIFICATIONS Must be insurable-possess valid current driver's license Acceptable Current DMV Transcript DOT Physical will be required Must be able to maneuver a 24-28 foot Box Truck Must be able to push/pull linen bins weighing up to 700 lbs. Work Independently Good Organizational Skills Must be able to interact professionally with co-workers and hospital personnel WORK SCHEDULE This position has a varied schedule of Sunday - Saturday.
