The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the biological sciences, exceptional client service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications in the biotechnology field.Evaluate patent portfolios and provide strategic advice to clients.Perform due diligence investigations related to intellectual property matters.Conduct legal research on biotech-related patent issues.Provide counsel on patent infringement and validity matters.Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs and objectives.Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters.Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and internal teams. Requirements:3-8 years of relevant experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Strong technical background in the biological sciences.Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.Experience in a law firm setting is desirable.Excellent academic credentials from a reputable institution.Outstanding organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Education:Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline. Certifications:Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Skills:Drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Intellectual property portfolio evaluation and due diligence.Legal research and analysis in biotechnology.Client service and communication skills.Leadership and teamwork abilities.Presentation and public speaking skills.
