Position: Traders Point Christian Schools is seeking a high school JV basketball head coach. About Traders Point: Traders Point Christian Schools is a co-ed, Private, 18 months - Grade 12 school Serving 700 students on the Northwest side of Indianapolis.Located in Whitestown, IN- Indiana’s fastest growing community the past 8 yearsIHSAA memberGrades 5-8 Sports compete in the IISL (Indianapolis Independent School League) Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have previous coaching and/orplaying experience.Experience in constructing a program from the ground up, and knowledge of IHSAA rules andprocedures are highly desired. Athletic Department Purpose Statement: All applicants should agree and abide by our Athletic PurposeStatement, which reads:Traders Point Christian Academy is committed to developing and maintaining an athletic program that isChrist centered, comprehensive, competitive and allows each athlete a unique venue to be a witness forChrist by using his or her God given talent to move and play.General Responsibilities: 1) developing appropriate skill building opportunities for each developmentallevel, 2) participating collegially in meetings and initiatives of the athletics department, 3) taking anactive role in the life of the school community, especially the co-curricular events of students, and 4)other duties as directed by athletic director within the scope of experience and competence tocomplement the coaching role. As a coach at TPCS, you are expected to instruct and model important religious functions that include Bible instruction, prayer, participation in weekly chapels, and other religious duties. At TPCS, your role as a coach involves a pastoral element whereby through example and direct instruction, you are acting as a minister of our Christian faith.Location: Whitestown, IN
