Description:
We are actively seeking a compassionate mental health therapist for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments, making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of clinical experience working with mental health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) license. Responsibilities: • Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient• Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs• Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members• Recommend community services or specialists for patients and family members in need• Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care• Assist with interventions for clients when crises occur• Perform clinical assessments• Assess client needs and work collaboratively within the practice and community• Meet with clients weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly, depending on the assessment of needs Qualifications: • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting• Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support)• High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or equivalent; masters degree preferred• Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required• Graduate degree and licensure in counseling, social work, or equivalent required Compensation: $40 - $55 hourly About Company: Calming Waters Counseling Services is a small, family-oriented private practice, where individuality is celebrated.
