Job Summary The Route Coordinator assists route drivers in providing prompt, efficient and courteous service to all customers through utilization of routing system. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Assigns and organizes driver routes ensuring route efficiency based on stops and route costs; forecast customer pick ups and driver scheduling for customers. Utilizes Roadnet Transportation Suite & PeopleNet software routing/navigation systems optimizing fleet routing and scheduled based on specific customer parameters. Completes daily and weekly reports on tickets, costs, and routing. Tracks and re-routes missed customer pick-ups daily; routes call-ins according to customer needs and efficiency of routing. Coordinates Mobile Wash Unit and Tank Delivery to customer's site for cleaning, painting, tank pickup and delivery with input and follow-up from Customer Service Representative. Maintains current customer accounts through personal and telephone contact ensuring quality service to each customer in coordination with Customer Service Representative. All other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Demonstrated work experience using computers. Route sales and/or routing system experience strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred. Route sales and/or routing system experience preferred. Works well with others in a team environment. Communicates clearly in verbal and written form. Highly organized; superior time management skills. Strong math and computer skills. Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel Frequently lifts up to 10 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out at a plant location, office environment, Darling vehicle or personal vehicle, and in customer locations.
