Job SummaryProvide technical support in the Engineering Services department for the Salem Power Uprate Project. The successful candidate will perform the duties as a Generator Engineer for the power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2. The engineer is responsible for oversight of the generator and support systems impact assessment and sponsoring and implementing related power uprate modifications. Job Responsibilities - Assess the required scope of work and exploring various alternative solutions for required modifications.- Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.- Fulfill the role of the system lead engineer for modifications.- Ensure adequate systems integration and fulfill the role of plant systems subject matter experts- Support changes to the Preventive maintenance and Surveillance Program- Identify Critical Spare parts- Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes.- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing- Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as:built verification.- Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis.- Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Electrical Design Engineering Manager.- Assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization Job Specific QualificationsRequired: - BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree with 13years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry. - Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to generator engineering, design and/or testing. - Availability for shift work during installation. - Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access. -Must possess a valid US drivers license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Desired: - Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR) - Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification - Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state) Disclaimer Certain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810:Controlled Information.
