Job Title: Senior Network Systems Engineer Location: Rockville, MD Overview: The Senior Network Systems Engineer, designated as key personnel, is responsible for overseeing the administration and operation of network and system infrastructure across both on-premise and AWS cloud environments. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and performance of IT systems that support the organization's objectives. Responsibilities: Provide expert management of various hardware platforms, software solutions, and virtualized environments, particularly within a diverse computing environment that includes Windows Operating Systems, Linux (Redhat and Ubuntu), VMWare, and Nutanix products. Task Area 2 - Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering Support: Lead the support efforts in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that supports both the on-premise data center and cloud-based operations. Subtask 4.2.8 - Network Security and Patch Management: Directly responsible for managing the routine patching of servers and systems, ensuring all are up to date with the latest security patches and standards. Also, maintain Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware across all hosts, managing whitelist/blacklist solutions for application protection. Oversee the operational security activities that include the development of improvement projects and maintenance documentation. Collaborate closely with IT security teams to align infrastructure security measures with organizational security policies. Qualifications: Must possess an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of technical experience in network systems engineering, with significant exposure to both on-premise and cloud environments. Required to hold either a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. AWS Cloud Practitioner or similar cloud certification preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance. Tools and Technologies: Proficient in managing Windows, Linux, VMWare, and Nutanix environments. Skilled in using advanced network management and monitoring tools. Work Hours: Standard work hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. IMTS is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
