The Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic Lead Software Solution Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving innovation. Youll be responsible for developing cutting:edge solutions that redefine the retail experience and position Sephora as an industry leader. Responsibilities: : Serve as the technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle, ensuring schedules, milestones, and priorities are compatible with technology and business goals.: Build and foster a high:performance engineering culture, mentoring team members and providing them with the tools for success in their day:to:day work life.: Establish and support engineering excellence practices. : Utilize your in:depth understanding of software architectures and design patterns to create scalable and efficient solutions that align with the companys goals and objectives.: Gather business and functional requirements from external and/or internal customers and end:users, and translate them into technical specifications to build robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well across a range of complex systems. : Demonstrate your strong programming skills in object:oriented languages to actively participate in the development of software applications and features, ensuring high quality and efficiency. : Leverage your expertise in Oracle X:Store Suite to design, implement, and maintain retail technology solutions that streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and drive business growth. : Build collaborative partnerships with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, technical leads, and key individuals within other functional groups.: Tackle complex technical challenges with creativity and resourcefulness.: Demonstrate Sephoras values in Passion for Client Service, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect for All, Teamwork, and Initiative. We are excited about you if you have: : 10+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle using object:oriented languages (e.g., Java, C++, C) and Agile development methodologies.: BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.: Proficiency in engineering excellence, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational experience.: 3+ years of demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.: In:depth knowledge of software architectures, design patterns, and best practices, including cloud technologies and performance optimizations.: Work experience in implementing monitoring and alerts.: Hands:on experience with queuing and streaming solutions such as Kafka, JMS, Coherence.: Hands:on experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.: Essential hands:on experience working with Oracle X:Store POS products.: Analytical approach to problem:solving with a track record of developing innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.: Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non:technical stakeholders.: Passion for staying up:to:date with industry trends a
