Position: Groundskeeper As a Groundskeeper, your overall responsibility will be to ensure that the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings are meticulously cared for and inviting for current and potential residents. This position will assist Maintenance Technicians with routine and preventative maintenance duties. Your specific duties in this role will include: Meticulously maintain curb appealRemove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily to ensure the property is always pleasing and safeAssist in the preparation of market ready units, including removal of trash from vacant apartments prior to make-readyAssist Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely mannerAssist in the cleaning of available apartments and/or modelsAssist maintenance team with snow/ice removal (if applicable) as well as clean up grounds after stormsAssist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problemsReport all maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse and/or common areas to the Maintenance SupervisorAssist management team with other various tasks requiredRepresent the community in a professional manner at all timesDeliver communication documents to residents, as neededProvide work results that contribute to resident retentionEnsure that unsafe conditions are reported immediatelyLearns and ensures compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rulesCommunicates with Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager regularly to report on status of all scheduled workPerforms other miscellaneous duties as assigned Experience & Requirements: High school diploma or GEDValid driver’s licenseResidence within 30 miles of your assigned property, preferredBasic knowledge of the repair and maintenance of other household appliances, plumbing, and lighting fixturesAvailability for on-call rotation Job Requirements: Ability to communicate with residents, vendors, and co-workers in a friendly and businesslike mannerAbility to function well as part of a teamStrong multitasking skillsAbility to work in disagreeable conditions, both outside and inside, for extended periods of timeAbility to regularly lift weights of over 50 lbs.Skill in efficiently using common and specialized repair and maintenance toolsAttendance is an imperative job functionBenefits: As a Groundskeeper with StoneRiver Property Management, you will be part of team-oriented organization where your opinions are truly valued.
