Trust & Estate Administration Paralegal

Description:
The perfect candidate--must--have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Trust and Estate Administration.--The perfect candidate must be well organized and be able to handle deadlines.--Initially, this person will work under the Trust and Estate Paralegal for training and assist with daily office administration during the transition period, but will ultimately assume responsibility for the Trust and Administration Department. Our Benefits include: --- Health and Dental Insurance --- 401(k) --- Profit Sharing Plan --- Long and Short Term Disability Insurance --- 3 weeks of Paid Time Off --- Paid Holidays Responsibilities: --- Assist with the preparation and filing of inventories and accountings --- Real estate deeds, business transfer documents, certificates of trust, pleadings pertaining to estate and trust administration and all other documents related to probate and trust administration matters --- Assists clients with trust funding --- Works closely with Trust/Estate Attorney, Commissioners of Accounts and their auditors and court clerks as needed; monitors suspense dates --- Until such time as the Trust and Estate Administration Paralegal position becomes full-time, this position will assist with estate planning and office administration. Qualifications: --- Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree desired --- Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference --- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills --- At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting --- Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar About Company: The Peninsula Center for Estate and Lifelong Planning is a boutique estate, business, and tax planning law firm in Williamsburg, Virginia.
