Join Our Team as a Battery Technician!Keep Our Forklifts Charged and Operational!APPLY TODAY!This is for a 2nd shift: Mon-Fri , 2pm-10:30pm (Dairy)This position is responsible for repairing and recharging batteries for all electric-operated warehouse equipment.Essential Duties:Maintaining a safe working environment at all times by reporting possible concerns to lead person or supervisor.Washing all batteries on an ongoing schedule.Removing and replacing battery connectors and contact tips.Adding water to obtain specified concentration.Attaching leads from charger to battery posts and starting charger.Safely cleaning up electrolyte spills.Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needsQualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.Physical Demands:Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 poundsFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsRegularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsRegularly reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawlCorporate Summary:At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
