Nature and Scope The Project Assistant is pivotal in supporting the Trades and Industrial Department at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT). This role involves providing administrative and project support to ensure the smooth execution of various departmental initiatives and goals. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate. General Accountability The Project Assistant is responsible for supporting the coordination and implementation of projects within the Trades and Industrial Department. Working closely with the Project Manager and other team members, the Project Assistant facilitates and supports operations and accomplishment of project goals. This position will include support with administrative tasks, data collection, reporting, and relationship management with stakeholders. This role demands attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and effective teamwork, including assistance with planning and executing departmental events. Specific Accountabilities Administrative Support & Coordination Provide professional administrative assistance to departmental personnel and the direct supervisor to facilitate project completion Finalize logistics for events, projects, and pilot programs, including setup and windup Coordinate with stakeholders on event-related.
