You’ll be responsible for welcoming patients, scheduling appointments and work closely with our healthcare staff to take patient histories, collect test samples, and help with examinations. Responsibilities: • Complete the patient’s insurance forms in their records, notating all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions • Welcome patients to the office, take telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer questions about treatment or prescription refills to ensure an excellent patient experience • Provide support to healthcare staff during examination by handing the correct supplies and medical instruments to the physician, position the patient, and assisting with other tasks as needed• Discuss patient information, medical history, and the reason for their visit to share with the healthcare staff• Document the patient’s vital signs including respiration rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, and pulse and write down the information in their chart Qualifications: • Able to use a computer to complete administrative tasks • Solid communication and customer service skills • High school graduate or has GED • Previous experience as a medical assistant performing administrative duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment is preferred• Completion of medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required Compensation: $15- $18 hourly About Company: Craft Consulting LLC is an organization that assists health providers with attaining and maintaining compliance and excellence.
