Job description **Bilingual Preferred**Bilingual Preferred** **MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CAR** Position Objective: Medical Assistant (MA) will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks within the Agency, such as helping provide care to clients/ person, and keep the office operations running smoothly. This individual will report directly to the Director of Nursing. Essential Job Duties: Able to accurately schedule clients for Doctors Appointment, and print out consultants for staffDemonstrates an understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards; completes lab requests, referrals, and health forms.Able to identify when a client/ person is in need of a referral and/or preauthorization.;Answers and screens Nursing office calls and understands when it is acceptable to release patients' protected health information.Able to obtain patient vital signs and properly document them in the client/person's medical record. Interviews, triages, and prepares clients/person to facilitate smooth flow, assists providers in medical examinations, and provides other general assistance to the provider and staff as necessary.Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
