If you want to work for a company that lives by their values, then give your career a reason to smile and join our global team The Controls and Automation Specialist for the Sanford Manufacturing facility is responsible for site support and maintenance of the electrical, controls and plant floor systems. Works cross:functionally include strong partnerships with manufacturing Operations, IT, Engineering, Maintenance, FP and R, Regional Plant Systems Integrator and Quality for system requirements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities :Maintain and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) including Allen Bradley, ELAU and Siemens, SQL Databases, Wonderware based Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) or Panelview. :Maintain and troubleshoot plant floor electrical, control and pneumatics components including: vision systems, industrial and collaborative robots, valves, motors, loop controllers, solenoids, control system I/O (Flex IO and Point IO), measurement and instrumentation systems (flow meters, load cells, photoelectrics, level probes, metal detectors, container fill detectors, touch screen monitors, computer equipment and peripherals and container vacuum detection). :Maintaining the current InBatch , Opera and other process automation systems :Configuration and installation of a all plant systems :Lead plant automation projects. Includes management of all aspects of the implementation including people, process, and systems. :Provide input to major capital projects involving automation to ensure global automation standards and policies are followed. :Function as a technical resource and shift troubleshooting resource for operations, maintenance and engineering (requires climbing, bending and crawling) :Facilitate training (written material, using digital flows tools and audiovisual content) for maintenance and operations personnel. :Provide extensive reporting and communication of problems and steps taken. :Perform basic network diagnostics (mostly Ethernet, Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet). :Follow backup procedures (controllers, panels, programmable switches, etc.). :Document changes made to software and hardware (electrical and Process and Instrumentation prints). :Be accountable for meeting or exceeding safety standards according to the published company and regulatory policies/guidelines. :Simple SQL querying for troubleshooting :Support, troubleshoot and perform improvement configurations to the AGV and AMR fleet. :Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications :Complete controls related projects as assigned :Communicate with regional and global systems teams Education/ Experience :Technical degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) :Minimum 5 years of relevant plant technical experience :Experience in systems configuration, maintenance and knowledge of manufacturing operations core processes :Ability to read and use electrical schematics :Know, understand, and interpret NEC regulatory requirements :
