City/StateWoodbridge, VAOverviewWork ShiftFirst (Days) (United States of America)Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Flexi/PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for the Recovery Room!-Flexi/PRN & Day shift-Direct Care Registered Nurse II - Recovery RoomThis position will help the team for call outs, help with call shifts, and you would be able to pick up entire shifts based on your availability and the team's needs.Call during Monday to Friday is from 10 pm to 7 amSaturday & Sunday is 7 am to 7 pm, and 7 pm to 7amFlexi/PRN Commitments: Floats as required Shift rotation to meet the needs of the unit 1 Summer/1 Winter/1 Floating holiday or as determined by the unit 3 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule 60 minimum hours per 6 week schedule per the needs of the hiring unit 2 years clinical experience Attend 25% of monthly unit meetings or as determined by the unitMinimum Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi-State License OR Registered Nurse (RN) License - Single State License - Virginia RN-Associate's Degree OR RN-Bachelor's Degree OR RN-Diploma OR RN-Master's Degree OR RN-Doctorate DegreeAs aRegistered Nursewith Sentara, you can excel in your career. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. BSN or MSN preferred. New Hire Education Requirement: All new RNs who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to enrollment in an accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years of hire. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire.
