The Role The Planning Engineer II applies approved technologies and architectures to specific requirements for additions to support growth and new services at Lumen. Work Location : US: Works From Home The Main Responsibilities:Manages floor space, power, and cooling for regionalize network facilities/data centers.:Kicks off space and power projects into engineering and PM groups.:Develops/defines plans for the implementation of new plant construction or modifications to existing facilities.:Prepares plans and specifications, to include gathering field data.:Assures that the most feasible, practical and economical means to complete the work are utilized. Provides cost data to support capital planning and budgeting.:Monitors and controls project expenditures.:Skilled in planning and/or engineering.:Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e:mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like. What We Look For in a Candidate Required: :5+ years professional experience with a Bachelors Degree:Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities:Ability to prioritize with good time management skills:Strong data/economic analysis skills:Excellent analytical and problem solving skills:Detail oriented with an intense focus on quality:Proven track record as adept and effective project manager:Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and communications skills:Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio and SQL:Positive and professional attitude, appearance, and demeanorPreferred: :Master's degree in related field and 2+ years of related experience:Experience in an engineering role that included a substantial business/financial focus Compensation The starting salary for this role differs based on the employees primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individuals qualifications. Location Based Pay Ranges 63980 : 85300 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.67340 : 89780 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.70710 : 94270 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.74070 : 98760 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA. As with the pay range variety thats based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
